When should I schedule my pool opening?
We recommend scheduling your pool opening over the winter. Booking early helps ensure your pool is ready before peak season.

What is included in a pool opening?
A standard opening includes removing the cover, reinstalling equipment and fittings, inspecting the system, starting circulation, and preparing the pool for cleaning and balancing. All information on pool openings can be found here:

When should I close my pool for the winter?
Pools should be closed in the fall once water temperatures consistently drop below 60°F. Proper winterization protects plumbing, equipment, and surfaces from freeze damage.

What is included in a pool closing?
Closings include lowering water (if needed), blowing out and winterizing plumbing lines, adding winter chemicals, removing equipment components, and installing the safety cover.

Vinyl Liner Replacement

How long does a vinyl pool liner last?
Most vinyl liners last 10–15 years in New England, depending on sun exposure, water chemistry, and winter conditions.

 

What are signs my liner needs to be replaced?
Common signs include fading, cracking, wrinkles, leaks, or the liner pulling away from corners or steps.

 

How long does a liner replacement take?
Most installations are completed within 1–2 days once the pool is prepared, though weather and site conditions can affect timing.

What types of pools do you offer liner replacements for?

We offer liners for any type of pool, above ground, in ground, custom shape you name it and we can install a liner in out.

Can you make updates while replacing the liner?
Yes. Liner replacement is often the best time to address structural repairs, update fittings, or perform renovation work while the pool is empty.

 

Pool Repairs & Renovations

Do you handle pool repairs?
Yes. We repair leaks, plumbing issues, damaged fittings, and other common problems as part of our seasonal service and renovation work.

 

Can older vinyl liner pools be renovated?
In many cases, yes. Vinyl liner pools can often be modified or refreshed during a liner replacement, extending the life of the pool.

Do you offer routine maintenance?
We provide seasonal and service-based maintenance to help keep pools operating properly throughout the swimming season.

 

How far in advance should I schedule service?
We recommend scheduling openings, closings, and liner work as soon as possible preferably before the start of spring especially during the busy spring and fall seasons our schedule is very full

Do you offer services during the winter months?
Yes. In addition to pool services, we provide snow plowing and ice management for residential and small commercial properties.

Yes. Crowley Pool Service is fully insured for both pool service and winter operations.
